My Father Is A Farmer

..and we work work work the day away.

Conclusion

The keyboard is creaking. It's been that long, yeah?

All is set. One paper left. One practical exam left. They're not really that important, as they don't really count for anything, but I still have to pass them. Contradictory, but am lazy to explain, so live with it.

Am flying home for good on the 4th of March. Paper's this Monday, practical's this Wednesday. Saturday, zoom zoom.

Bloody hell has it been almost three years already?

What has happened in the past 2 months or so?

Home was great over Christmas. Saw some people I really wanted to see. Marvin, Mei Yun, Mou Yen, Ben and all the rest. Meeting Andrew at McDonald's Greenlane at 2 in the morning was definitely a highlight. Sorry I was wolfing down my Prosperity Burger and that my hands were oily though, I have an addiction for those little fuckers.

Haha.

Turning 21 at home was great. Thanks for the insane night, guys.

The days just flew by; had to leave just before Chinese New Year, which was a fat bitch.

Went to Amsterdam as soon as I got back to Dublin.

Uh, what happens in Amsterdam stays in Amsterdam.

Got my final results a week or so back. Still can't believe I passed everything. Results this time around were one of the worst ever for the class (let me brag a bit yeah?), so am glad. Very very happy.

So, I'm done with Dublin.

Reading that, it still doesn't really sink in. Packed up my life here into eight boxes and shipped them home a week back. Didn't really sink in then as well.

Maybe it'll only sink in when I step out of the arrival lounge in Penang, when the fuck me it's humid feeling hits me squarely in the balls.

Maybe.

Or maybe it won't. So many people have asked me if I will miss Dublin.

I don't know. I'm no ingrate, but I don't know. I'm thankful for all the things I learnt, and for all she has taught me. I think I've grown loads. I think I'm one step closer to adulthood. I really feel good. It feels like I'm unwrapping Harry Potter 7.

Haha. All that I couldn't leave behind, everything that clung onto.. I can now let go. It feels great. New chapter, bitch.

Right enough with the lame ass sappy bitch crap.

I hope I can resume updating as frequently as I used to. I'd really like to, but time's a real bitch.

Maybe when I get home.

I still can't get used to the whole How do you do? My name is Tan, and I'm a student doctor. Do you mind if I take a look at you?

Here's hoping that it grows on me. Here's hoping that the prefix Dr. will soon be added to Tan and the whole student doctor thing goes.

I have my fingers crossed. So see ya, Dublin. It's been enlightening. I think a farewell pose is in order.

Han, Hari and I at the farewell reception. Apt. Thanks goes to the lovely Sarah for the picture.

Hope to write again soon.
